Anyone using SI Bass

Just wondering how people are using SI Bass. I use it only by playing it with my midi controller. Is anyone making use of the patterns that come with it? If so how? Are you using key change markers.  I probably need to play with it more but I can never get any of the patterns to fit in anything I am doing.

For what it's worth, I've used SI Bass & SI-Drums but haven't really had much luck with getting the patterns to work with an original project.  I think they work better if you just want to assemble a bunch of patterns together.

I usually have something in mind so patterns don't fit.  Of course, what I come up with isn't anywhere near as good as what a real bassist or drummer would come up with.  But I just got EZ Drummer and the couple of patterns I listened to on that are inspiring me to try those on my next project.
