MP3 Encoder

Cannot save CD Tracks to MP3  Get a message that states "MP3 encoder must be unlocked" obtain from cakewalk.  Whats the deal??? Not a good sign that the first time I go to use this program to do something as simple as export tracks from a studio cd wave converted to MP3 I get this message...

It's now an option you pay for. Just download LAME or use any encoder.

If you would stop and think before going off half cocked, you would have known that its a licencing issue  and that you can get the same encoder for Free.
Why would cakewalk raise their price to include something that you can get for free or that we have already?? Think!!

Its always been a paid option.

Actually, the MP3 encoder was free with Pro Audio 9, the last version of Cakewalk before it became Sonar.

Skyline, Thanks for the link, I was going to post it for him but had trouble finding it. Google is getting worse at hiding free stuff. I feel sorry for people who only use the top few search items.
