importing/blending video clips in Sonar?

It appears I cannot bring in multiple video clips into Sonar and move them around like audio clips...right?

probably newbie question, but ya gotta ask.

And if not...what's a good cheapie video editing program that I can use with Sonar?

    Correct... you can't do that.

Sony Vegas is very good. They have multiple versions available for various costs...

    thanks Scott...

Next question would be that I'd probably want to record my music in Sonar and then import my stereo .wav files (or whatever format) into something like Vegas where I can [potenitally] drag the audio and video around [separately?] to line things up as desired?

It would be better for you to create your video in Vegas and then import that video file into SONAR so that you can compose/record music to the finished video.

    I understand.

My newbie inclination would be to edit the video to my audio, where as I am sure it is probably done the other way around for most... especially the "big" budget stuff.

I guess it is easier to line up the audio more precisely (like drum stick hits, etc) while watching the video...  correct?
