Question about Bouncing/exporting media

Hello,
I have created a track and am having issues bouncing/exporting the media to an mp3 or wav file.  After I do hit export, there is no loading window at the bottom that pops up like how it is supposed to.  As a result the files that I have exported do not have any audio.  Can someone please help me with this?

    click on one of the tracks and hit CTRL-A on the keyboard before selecting FILE>EXPORT>AUDIO
