Delta 1010 with Win 7 64 bit

Anybody using a Delta 1010 with Win 7?  64 bit.  Or 32 bit?   Just wondering if I would be better off getting a new sound card when I do take the plunge

I am using the LT version on Win 7 64 bit without any problems.  I doubt there is any difference between your S and my LT when it comes to drivers.  If you liked it on your previous os than you should still like it on seven.  Good luck.

I really like the Delta for what I do.  I have seen an increase in speed with the os and memory with nearly everything that I do with music and graphics.  I don't personally think that you will benefit with a new sound card because of Win 7 64 bit but that is completely up to you with what you expect to get in return.  I am more comfortable with my setup than I have been in years.  It is not the top dog of DAWS but it still does what I need for it to do given the expanded resources that have become available recently.

I say save your money on a new soundcard and get that new os and enjoy the new found freedom of faster processor speed and memory that the newer VST's require and make some music without worrying about getting bogged down like in the previous systems.

Thanks for the replies.  I f I go to Win 7 64 bit will I still be able to play my projects on my 32 bit Xp machine?

I can't answer that question as I have not tried it.  My old XP PC is collecting dust in my closet along with my Amiga 500, Amiga 1200, and other various unused electronics.

if your projects uses 64 bit soft synths and effects than you will not be able to open them in a 32 bit system.  You may be able to to convert to 32 bit soft synths and effects in Windows 7 and open them up in your 32 bit XP PC though.
