Elite packs - AAS Strum Bundle
Anyone gone for the offer on the Strum Bundle Elite Pack or maybe already have them ? Just wondered what people think of them ? Seems like a good price but how do they compare to Realguitar/Strat or CH Guitars etc ? Reviews elsewhere seem quite favourable but always nice to hear real world experiences from actual users.

I have the bundle and like it very much. I haven't used the others so I can't compare. Strum is fun to play. Have you watched the youtube vid for Strum Electric? I personlly love AAS products. They are all 64 bit too.

Thanks for the feedback everyone - very useful to hear real world opinions as opposed to site reviews that may or not be "sponsored". A1Mixman - yeah I've seen the vid - it looks pretty good, but things often do in promos, so I still wanted some other opinions. Mr Mook - Thanks for the link - I did a forum search before I posted my thread, but this never came up. Fog - are the soundpacks you refer to the ones in the Professional Series Bundle or do you know of some different ones ? I was only really looking for a guitar sim, but the pro bundle does look good value too. I've downloaded the demos for a play to see if it's worth extra outlay. rythminmind - thanks for the endorsement - good to hear ( unless you work for AAS lol !) WHYZ - Yeah, the low cpu usage / lack of multi Gb sound libraries is a big plus for me too.

So, Should I Go For It? I've also been considering this package and despite a lot of googling, am still interested in what fellow SONAR users may have to say about the AAS synths. I have the RealGuitar/Strat and ManyGuitar/Bass/Etc. as well as a hell of a lot of excellent guitar sample from Pettinhouse, but my work tends to be rather string-intense, so I'm always looking for more options. There are never enough. So on that note (pun intended), I'm curious about how the various packages sound in terms of authenticity. It's clear that AAS offers a lot of control over a rather mind-bending range of parameters in their modeling products, but the sound is the final verdict. Do they sound good enough to plunk down some cold, hard cash on an Elite Pack deal?
Enjoy the time you've got, because it's all the time you get.

Just purchased it 7/30/2010 @ 6:44P EST. Can't wait to d/l it. I had the original Tassman V.? back in the Sonar 1 or 2 era. Can't find the old registration info. Guess it doesn't matter now. I hope to build a 64-bit only DAW. The [ bundle is a good start. NI Komplete 7 is next on my list, but I gotta take my family on vacation.

Yeah, this looks pretty tempting to me too, but I'm just wondering after checking out that video- I mean that guy is a touring keyboardist for Celene Dion, which kinda' gets me to thinking: well, what if you're just an all thumbs, 'hunt-and-peck' keyboardist such as yours truly???? Anyone on the thread using this who's not a 'skilled' or trained keyboard player? Comments appreciated if you are. I understand there is a trial version, which I didn't see when I visited the site, but will try and find it and pass on my thoughts.
