Questions from a Newbie

Hi,
I have  a Vista PC and I have a Alesis SR-18 Drum Machine. If I get Cakewalk HOme Studio, can I download Midi files, Map them and save the Drum files seperate, can I D/L them into the Alesis, and storwe them as a song?

What are the minimum requirements for Cakewalk?

I think the answer to all your questions is "Yes".  I've done a couple projects where I downloaded someone's MIDI file as a starting point for an arrangement on guitar.  But I've certainly been able to break the MIDI into separate tracks per instrument.

As for the system requirements, you probably already found them but here they are: http://www.cakewalk.com/p...dio/english/system.asp
