Looking for a good rock/metal/grunge drumkit!

Hi,

I have Studio Instruments - Drums (from Home Studio), Session Drummer 2, and Dimension Pro.  Between the first two I'm looking for a good rock drum kit.  I'm not sure about using Dimension Pro for drums, as I'm not sure if it gives me as many options to adjust individual pan and volumes sets on each percussion part.

There's a lot of kits between Studio Instruments and Session Drummer 2, so while I could of course just go through them all myself (woah time consuming), I was hoping to get some opinions on people's experiences and what they liked best.

Specifically though, I'm having trouble finding a good kit that has a good open (or half open) hi-hat sound (AC/DC) and one that has a good crash cymbal sound that you can use as your meter (Kyuss / Clutch / Fu Manchu... just need a crash that I can use in place of a ride cymbal).

Thanks!

not much in those tbh; you may have to splash out on ez drummer or steven slate drums - these are quite often on a special deal so keep your eyes open... - but it is $99 for 10 kits in the EX pack. deffo worth it!

EZ Drummer on sale at Guitar Center, $29.99! $149.00 off list, with Drum Kit From Hell, pretty cheap, and good investment! But my Steven Slate 3.5, IMHO, is hands down way above the others, with the multiple set-ups,etc...Plain and simple, sound like real drums-right out of the box, good luck! DFH, sold separate, just wanted ro clarify...still EZ for $29.00!!!!!
