Feel like i'm missing something obvious.

I'm using MC 5, and i'm wondering if you can take audio off an existing song. I guess i'm trying to use someone elses beat to record audio over? I don't know if there a volume control to lower the voice on a song. Thanks for the help, its very much appriciated!

Not in Music Creator, and the programs that say they can remove vocals aren't great at it, I've heard.
One way to do it is to find a MIDI file of the song you want to do, download and import it into MC, then record your own vocals to it.
But the best way is to just do it all yourself, in my opinion.
I'm sure someone else with experience with these things will be along later; I've never used any vocal-removal software, just read about a few.

Greg is correct... it's very hard to remove any instrument or vocal from a mixed song.... kinda like separating the ingredients from each other after you have baked the cake.....
