Cakewalk A800 pro vs Zero SL MKK2

Okee this might sounds a little weird but i wonder if anyone has experience with these 2 products.
I own a Edirol PC50 midikeyboard, very simple in design but i like the looks and it´s size. I could
see a combination with the Novation Zero SL MK2, the Automap seems to be very intresting. I don´t
know anyhting about midi and the Automap function should make things easier.
Or should i go for the A800, 5 octaves instead of 4, allthough that doesn´t matter to me, but with
The ACT button on it. Is this ACT button working easy in programs like for example Absynth 4, Massive
or Reaktor. Automap, Novation, says it can do the job.

I want to tweek a littlebit here and there.

Best

Robin

    Hi!

I own a ZERO SL Mk II and I like that piece of hardware. But in Sonar I use it with act, because Automap doesn´t work with all the DX-Plugins Sonar uses. Like the sonitus fx for example or many of the instruments. Using act surely doesn´t show the parameter names on the display, what automap does, but only with vst.

ACT is junk, Automap is awesome. I have not tried the A800 but I have tried just about every other controller keyboard out there including the M Audio Axiom pro (which SUCKS) and the Novation is GOD! There is nothing out there to touch it. Customer support is great and they have video tutorials and easy manuals on line for just about everything.
