Windows 7 64 and Yamaha SW1000XG

I'm putting this post in both soft, and hardware as it belongs in both.

Just wondering if anyone is running a Yamaha SW1000XG on any new (ish) systems running windows 7 64 bit?
I managed to install the most recent drivers on my windows 7 machine without any error messages but they were listed as, *not recognised" in the device manager.
I was planning on using it for the midi and having it for my windows default audio sounds as it was in my last machine.

Some folks may laugh and although midi sounds are never the most desirable, the SW1000XG still has some better sounds than sampletank, dimension pro and others and uses no cpu and is just quicker so if I can get it working it's always going to be worth having.

I heard somewhere that the problem wasn't with windows 7 but with the chipsets on the new boards.
Anyone verify this? I guess you'd have to be running windows 7 on an older board to jbow.
Cheers
Steve

I have read that the audio drivers will work in Win 7 *32bit*, but that the midi side does not work.

As you say, the sw1000xg is still a great synth and mine has a vl expansion card too which has some superb sounds. My main DAW runs on Win7 x64 now, and to get at the SW as a synth I have to dual boot the PC with XP. This is p***ing me off and I have picked up a used small form factor PC which will act as a host for the SW and probably double as a file and backup server. Should be up and running next week. (That is considerably cheaper than buying a MU100 to replace the SW)

If you manage to get the SW to work in Win 7 x64 - let me know!
