What guitar fx GTpro or Gt10 or any other boss or line 6 ?

What are you thoughts ?

I have been useing pod farm for home recording I am not that impressed with it

I am hopeing to buy a fx board to record with and also use live so I will always be able to get the same sound I tryed the GT pro and fell in love with it but it is exspensive

What would you guys recomend for useing in my home studio and live ?

    I use a GT-10 for my bedroom recordings. Its pretty handy with the USB out and the coax. out. so direct digital recording is easy.
    Check out ww.facebook.com/chrisgallimoremusic and have a listen to my stuff recorded with the GT-10 to give you a couple of ideas how it comes across.

    GT pro

    Do a little research on the Fractal Audio Axe-FX and Digidesign Eleven Rack.  Axe-FX is really top-notch sound wise, but it's a bit more money than you were probably looking to spend.  Eleven Rack is supposed to be pretty nice as well, although with fewer models than the Axe-FX and a less flexible architecture (which makes it a bit simpler to use as well).  A lot of the guitar forums rank these two units as the top for recording direct, and they can both be used as live pre-amps as well. 

    I went with the Axe-FX Ultra and I'm extremely happy with it.  I've sold two of my amps several pedals and my GT-8 since I got it, so I think it was definitely worth it for me.  The Boss GT-8 wasn't bad if you learn to tweak it, but it isn't even close to the same ballpark as the Axe-FX.
