Vista new user / missing plugins
For live purpose, I use my laptop which (unfortunatly) is vista premium based.
All works fine though as it is used to play a simple backing track throughout the set and play a few soft synth off a midi keyboard.
The problem I have is that because it is also my work laptop with lots of stuff / programs / services on it, it takes ages to boot up fully, and some sound engineers have not been impressed with the time it takes me to setup during soundcheck, waiting for the laptop to be fully booted up.
What I have tried to do (I know you may suggest switching off as many startup programs and services as possible - and I have done that) is to create a separate user just to use sonar live.
While this works to the extent that the new user loads up a lot faster, when I launch Sonar, most VST synth work exept the Sonar ones like Pentagon, which come up as "missing" when I load my song.
I cant' figure out why, as sonar copied all the user files across, plugin folders etc on the new user and everything else is fine.
Is anyone aware of this issue and solution for it? Many thanks for your help, Vinny
