Control Surface

Hi
Can someone tell me how to use the motorised level fader on different tracks when playing back recorded work? It allows me to adjust the playback volume on Track 1 but I can't work out how to set it up so that it allows me to adjust the playback volume on the other tracks. Probably something simple. It usually is. Also is it possible to use the fader to adjust recording levels when tracking? I can't see this mentioned anywhere.
Thanks
Mick

The buttons labeled "Track" on the vs100 move the control to a different track. The track under control will be highlighted in sonar.

You adjust the record levels with the knobs, no fader.

Thanks for that. I tried switching tracks using the buttons labelled 'Track'on the VS-100 but it had no effect. Is there something I need to turn on to enable that function?

    Thanks again.

I'm having the same problem. The audio interface works beautifully but the motorized fader will only control the level of Track 1 in Logic. Pressing the track select buttons does nothing and I have the unit setup with Mackie control

First, what program are you using on your computer? Sonar? There's really not enough info in your post to provide a specific answer.

If you are using sonar, did you set up the vs100 control surface in sonar? If you haven't, or if you don't know what I'm talking about, a quick forum search (or even a look at the documentation) should get you going. If you've read the documentation or searched for a solution and are unsure what it means outline what your configuration is and I'm sure you can get some help.

If you are using some other host (logic or reaper or such) I'd suggest asking in their support forums, because this sounds like a host set up issue.

    Hi
Yes, I am using Sonar. I can use the Control Surface buttons for recording and playback. However, nothing happens when I try to use it to change tracks. Probably something very simple. Any ideas?? I will search the forums as there is very little info regarding setting up the Control Surface in the documentation.
    Cheers

Is the vs100 set to DAW Mode Sonar? Check by pressing the menu button on the vs100, scroll with the cursor knob.

If that is good in sonar the options/controllers-Surfaces panel the entry for vs-100 should have...

In Port                Out Port               A    W
    Control(vs100)    Control (VS100)  X     X

At the bottom WAI should both be checked and "Control Strips Visible in" should have "All Strips" checked.

And, just before we were ready to WOW Gold for the night yesterday, one of the mallards was crashing (in the medical sense, not the collision sense) and we really thought we were going to lose her overnight. We treated her and tried to be hopeful, even though we expected the worst.  But this morning, she was much

    WOW Power Leveling.
