NEW DRIVERS..WOW!

I just read about the new drivers.  Seems like Cakewalk hasn't made much of a fuss about it.  It's not even in the announcements up there. ^^^
Well,  they totally should make a fuss about them.  They are awesome! I was just able to play my edrums through ez drummer and ss drums ( a layered patch I use) at a latency setting of 48 samples.  With no clicks or anything.,  While streaming music from grooveshark to play along with.  Excellent!  I guess it's something called V streaming technology.

Yep, the new drivers are pretty darn sweet. We've got them up now on our support pages, FWIW.

THanks for posting this thread or I totally would have missed this too.. just updated to 1.5 firmware and the new drivers!

If I go down to 48 samples my RTL is between 7-8ms latency but it I get pops and clicks... if I go to 64 samples it's between 8-9ms latency but from what I can tell no pops and clicks... i have an i7-950.. to get my latency down any further, what kinds of things can I do? If anything? Or is this normal latency for this kind of device and CPU?

I'm trying to update the firmware on my XP laptop and am running into a snag.  I can get to the USB Updater screen on the V-100, however upon plugging in the USB the computer doesn't recognize the device and wants to install drivers.  Out of this mode it works fine.  Any ideas?

I have just loaded Sonar 8.5 Producer (32 bit version) and the Version 1.0 driver for Windows 7.
Noticed that there is two other new drivers available on the Cakewalk site:

    1.  V-Studio 100  1.50 Firmware - New latency ASIO driver + OCTA-CAPTURE Support
    2.  V-Studio 100  Windows 7  64-bit driver -  v2.0  Support for OCTO-CAPTURE + lower latency driver

I won't be using an Octo-Capture interface as I don't need to expand my connections.  I'll be recording only 1 track at a time.
Should I still upgrade to the 1.50 Firmware?  or do I need both of the above?

    Thanks,

I would definitely upgrade to the newest firmware!! I dont' have OCTA-Capture either (yet), but I've noticed a marketable improvement in latency and overall performance since I upgraded my VS to 1.50.
