Session Drummer 2 HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

when I assign new .WAV files to session drummer 2 all I get is a static sound when I trigger the file. I am trying to create custom drum kits to use in session drummer in sonar 8.5 studio.

    Can you verify that the .wav files are good?
    Do they play in WMP?
    The standard SD2 patches play ok, correct?
    Can you give us your system specs?

    No they don't play in media player. I found a way around the issue though. I loaded .Wav's to session drummer but i'm not satisfied. I like session drummer but I would like a VSTi that mimics an MPC. If anyone knows of one please tell me. I wanna be able to use my mpd18 with the instrument and still be able to make subtle corrections in the step sequencer. Thanks
