Sonar 8.5 studio and Akai mpd18

Need Help,
 
I just bought a Akai MPD18 and i'm using it with Sonar8.5. I want to use the note repeat feature. i use tap tempo to sync my device with my project but eventually it get off, either late or too fast. i was wondering if there is a way that sonar can send temp info over usb cable the the MPD to keep it in-time with the project. If there is any other way you know I would appreciate it. THANKS. Phae bka HULK aka BULLY
