USB Interfaces

Hi All,

What is everybody running for USB interfaces ? I have a Roland UA-700 and a Line 6 Tone Port ( the single input version). I'm kicking around the idea of may be selling one or both and getting an interface that will let me record more than one track at a time. Is anybody just using a USB mixer instead ?

I'm interested in this too, Halfstack.  I have a mixer, but it gets into my PC via a Line 6 Gearbox or Toneport, something like that, and I can't seem to be able to split the signal so that a guitar and mic come in on different tracks.

Halfstack, I just bought something today that does the trick, a Lexicon Alpha.  It connects to the computer via USB, and has L/R line ins, an XLR,  2 line outs, and RCA jacks.  The front panel has an instrument line in, and volume controls.  I did a test with it, connecting my Xenyx 802 L/R outs to the L/R ins, and was able to record mic and guitar on separate tracks.

ETA, bought this at Guitar Center in the US for $79.

Cakewalk (formerly Roland, or Edirol) UA-25EX.  Seems to work fine. Now GTRPro4, that's a different story.  Land of glitchiness and secret hidden settings, with you totally on your own.

USB or Universal Serial Bus has been replaced by RS232 communication, and at the same time a lot of situations. USB is now the most widely used interface devices such as printer, mouse, scanner and personal computer. Many people wonder if an easy way to convert the RS232 to USB. Ultimately, they are both serial interfaces.
