Want professional advice for your music?

Hi!

My name's Kim Lajoie - author of http://kimlajoie.wordpress.com. Some of you are readers and subscribers. Glad you find it useful!

I'm just dropping in to let you know that I also provide specialised one-on-one advice. I have a private forum called 'The Kitchen' where I provide specific detailed advice to members.

If you:
 - sometimes get confused about issues relating to songwriting or engineering (recording/mixing/mastering)
 - can't seem to break through to the next level
 - are frustrated with conflicting (or vague) tips and tricks that don't have the effect you're after

... you should join the Kitchen. In the Kitchen you get my professional advice and guidance for your songs and musical goals.

The Kitchen costs money. Professional one-on-one advice doesn't come free. If you want free advice, this is not for you. On the other hand, if you believe you get what you pay for, and you're serious about your music, send me an email to:

kitchen at kimlajoie dot com

As always, my blog will always remain free - so if you want some general advice on a particular topic, I can't think of a better place to go:

http://kimlajoie.wordpress.com

I'll be hanging around here, so reply in this thread if you have any questions.

-Kim.

    Hi Kim,

I just wanted to say that I was familiar with your blog but I just went a read some of the latest posts.

I wanted to let you know that your presentations seem very well done and I am impressed that you seem to focus on the heart of the matter rather than the razzle dazzle approach of citing tech facts. I really enjoy how you keep the perspective focused on the music.

I also think the business model of providing info on it's own merit is a good one. It seems to encourage you as an author to really consider the value of what you are writing and I think this distinguishes it from something that is written to se5rve as a place holder between advertisement opportunities.

     Good luck with your work.

     best regards,
    mike

I didn't know you were a Melbournite too!

I have read a lot of your advice, and I don't doubt your credibility, however a bit more info on your back ground would be nice for people who wish to use your services. I see 20+ years of experience and a few artists you work with, but a bit more detail would be good. Have you been working in a studio that whole time, run a studio, did ten years as a hobbyist then moved into doing the studio or what? Those artists you are working with, what is your involvement with them? Are you producer/engineer/mixer, some or all of those titles?
