Music Creator & Home Studio going away?

Today Cakewalk / Roland announced the new Sonar X1 being released approx Dec 8, 2010.  there are 3 versions available
Sonar X1 Producer Edition $399
Soanr X1 Studio Edition $199
Sonar X1 Essentials $99

No word has been given for SHS or MC, but I suspect that the "Essentials" version of Sonar will eliminate Home Studio and Music Creator as a product line.  I would love for one of the bakers or product managers to chime in on this and let us know!

Does anyone know if this true? I was hoping to buy MC5 for Christmas but need to leave it for a month.

I think MC5 will continue to be available for a while even if they decide to pull the plug on the MC line.

Yes, I agree that it will probably still be available for some time even if they discontinue it.  stores will continue to sell their existing stock even if cake won't sell it from the e-store.
