I'd have to use a demo for a time before committing to an upgrade.

    There will be a trial version at some point after SONAR X1 is officially released.

    will there be a demo of Essential too?
    if not, is Producer and Essential the same workflow wise ?

    It will likely only be Producer version. Workflow and UI are the same in each version.

    There will be a trial version at some point after SONAR X1 is officially released.

    I have been using Sonar about 5 years, but this announcement promted me to join this forum. It better walk and talk because I am starting to feel like there is no end to the "upgrade"..almost like Microsoft.

    With the exception of Pro Channel.....so don't get used to it being right there when you try, then get disappointed if you don't get producer.

    I'm also waiting for a demo before I commit to Producer X1 - with all the feedback I'm still not too sure abt making the jump. For now it's Sonar Home Studio 6 :D
