New drivers and external USBs

The readme file with the new drivers cautions against having an external USB hard drive attached while using the drivers.  I'm not referring to using the hard drive as the storage location for Sonar files, just having one attached.  Has anyone run into any problems since updating to the new drivers with an ext. USB HD?  Any other concerns with moving to the new drivers?

Sorry for the really late reply on this. The VS-100 thread is so far down the list I forget to look at it :)

I believe the line you are referring to is this one (I couldn't see any other reference to external drives):
"In some cases, you may not obtain the expected level of performance if you're using a USB-connected hard disk at the same time as the VS-100. Do not use a USB-connected hard disk as the storage destination for the audio that you're playing back or recording. "

I'm pretty sure it's ok to have an external drive connected, just don't use it for your audio files. Likely not a good idea to do a system backup to the external drive while working with the VS-100 either, but that shouldn't need saying!

It is okay to have one hooked up at the same time.  It gave me no trouble at all.
I always record to the hard drive in the computer, and then send it to the external later.(After the project is done)
