Copying track sends
Hi, is there a way to copy the sends from one track to another? I know I can drag plugins, but can 't seem to do that with sends. That would be too easy I guess. I have two existing audio tracks with different audio on them. I set up the sends on track 1 the way I like. Now I want to drag the sends from track 1 to track 2 the way I can do it with plugins. Is that possible? I know I could clone the track without the events, then paste audio from track 2 to the new track, but that seems like a long way to go. Thanks, Kevin

Interesting request. A send involves a simple dial set to a value - How can it take more than 2 seconds to set a second send to the same level as the first, if that's what you want? Randy B.

Simple enough to duplicate it once. I have 3 sends that I want to duplicate on 20 tracks. I was looking for a streamlined process just like we do for everything in life :-) Since it's such an easy task to drag and drop to duplicate a plug-in, I thought why can't cakewalk program sonar to do this for the sends. But thanks for your concern.

Sure, you can do it! Select the tracks you want to add the send to, right-click and select Insert Send. Instead of picking a bus, like you'd normally do, though, choose "Insert Send Assistant". This nifty tool will not only route multiple tracks to a bus, it can also optionally create the bus AND add an effect to it.

Thanks Bitflipper. While this doesn't allow me to copy the sends I have already set up (values included) it does allow me to create the sends on multiple tracks at once, a great time-saver. I have to switch to track view to do this, because I haven't found a way to select multiple tracks in the console view, unless you know a trick for that. Thanks, Kevin
