older versions of Sonar

Hi all

Quick query........can projects from older versions of Sonar be used and manipulated on 8.5.

I have stuff done on 8.0 that I want to know will it work ok on 8.5......?

    Wow. I thought you were asking about something from the early 90's. If a song recorded in last years version wouldn't work in  todays version, I don't think there would be much market for upgrades!


    SONAR PE 8.5.3, Asus P5B, 2,4 Ghz Dual Core, 4 Gb RAM, GF 7300, EMU 1820, Bluetube Pre  -  Kontakt4, Ozone, Addictive Drums, PSP Mixpack2, Melda Creative Pack, Melodyne Plugin etc.

    gloog - yes you can open older projects. But you'll run into some trouble if you don't have all of the plugs installed that you used on the old project. Sometimes, for me, it causes a project to act like it's loading, but I eventually have to use the Task Manager to quit Sonar.

    If that happens, open the old project in safe mode by holing down the shift button while clicking to open the project, so you can isolate any trouble from missing plugs.

    Hey thanks for rapid responses

    I know it seemed a dumb query given that there's not much difference age wise!
    I do have some old projects that a mate has that are on a 6.0 pc.

    My main issue was the plugins and apps that I use/have used.......basically as long as they match should be fine......
