Sonar 7 won't play audio in Windows 7

I've been using various versions of Sonar since sonar 1. Sonar 7 has been installed on my Windows XP rig and running fine for a long time. I just installed Sonar 7 on my Dell Studio 15 laptop and nothing happens when I hit play in a project that contains audio tracks. I can run midi tracks using the Windows midi output without issue. Any suggestions? Thanks.

You need a Windows7 64-bit driver for the audio interface / soundchip for it to work. Go to Options-Audio-Drivers and make sure its selected for Input and Output. Depending on the soundchip it may only work in MME mode. (Options-Audio-Advanced). Try WDM and ASIO first.

Thanks Dave. MME (32 bit) works. It will be nice to be able to edit on my laptop and mix in the mancave!!!!
