Problem Boss BR-800 and Control Surface in Cakewalk SONAR LE

Dear reader,

First of all I would like to say hi, I'm new here and couldn't
find the answer to my problem in other posts.

I'm the happy new owner of the Boss BR-800 and the
Cakewalk SONAR LE program, which came along and
I like it a lot. Great ways to enhance your possibilities!

I've read the owner's manual of the BR-800 and also
read the help topics in SONAR concerning the Control
Surface but it just wouldn't work.

In the manual of the BR-800 it is said that I have to use the
Mackie Control and that one I've selected.
The colored tabs on my panels shows that the program
has confirmed my selection.

But now my problem. When clicking on a colored tab, the
only thing what happens is opening a window with the
Mackie Control window (Function Buttons, Foot Switches
etc.).

How do I get the interface of the sliders which I can
use with the BR-800? The BR-800 does nothing and
no slider will work.

Must I do things other than what I did? (I will be honest;
if the solution is dancing on my chair, I will do that)

Perhaps there's someone who can help me, I'm very
happy with SONAR and ofcourse the BR-800. I will be
even more happier if it all works.

Please, I hope you can help me out.

Best regards,

Also in SONAR LE, the Mackie Control view is still telling
    connecting?

I've started with the BR-800 in control surface mode, and
also in SONAR have disconnected and connected again.

What the .... am I doing wrong?

    Best regards,

    Hi again,

Also the complete controls of the BR-800 have no effect in
    SONAR LE at all.

I can use the output via the BR-800, USB is good working.

Please help me out, I'm getting very gray hair at this
    moment.

    Best regards,

I have had similar slider problems.
I didn't spend much time debugging, since I just used my mouse to adjust the Sonar sliders...
I'll do some troubleshooting and let you know if I have any solutions.

Hi nocoJack. Thanks for your reply. Ofcourse you're right, all sliders and buttons can be handled by the mouse.I will try other settings and try again. Hope to hear from you

    Hi nocoJack and other viewers,

The problem was solved using additional information by Ms. Lauren Shapiro
Technical Support, Cakewalk, Inc. She really helped me out using the
    following links:

    [link=http://www.cakewalk.com/Support/hardwaresetup/asio.asp?man=BOSS]http://www.cakewalk.com/S...etup/asio.asp?man=BOSS[/link]
And for the overall information how to use the Macky controller:

    http://www.cakewalk.com/Tips/hw/MackieCU.aspx

Really, all credits go to ms. Lauren. It helped me out and it's working now.
In control surface the master slider becomes your master pan.

But to come back to nocoJack's solution, a mouse will do fine also

    Best regards,
