Not fully supported :|
My HD crashed and i was forced to change to a new HD with a new system, xp x64. I got all my music files backed up so now worries.
Then i try to install my Sonar 7 PE (Which i bought 2-3 years ago), i looked at the back carton and it said:
"32 and 64-bit.."
But when i tried installing it, it said:
"This system is not fully supported by this software, cakewalk will not give any assistance blah blah. Continue installation?"
Or something close to that.
Does it really appear that way? Is it just like a warning but will my S7PE still function well?

And yes this is the CH, but i know alot of people here are knowledgeable enough/more, than for me to go upstairs and ask them instead.

You're pretty much consigned to contacting Cakewalk. Something in your HD installation isn't supported. It could be a number of things that are BIOS related or pertain to the new HD. You need to at least list some specs on your new HD and whether it came with software.

Right. Crg, thanks! My HD is a 500 GB Seagate with a fresh install of Windows XP Professional Corporate x64. I'll just copy this upstairs and ask there too.

Mig, XP64 is unsupported which means you are on your own if weird stuff happens, aside from other users on XP64 (of which I've noticed some here that use it). It may be that you'll never encounter problems running Sonar on it, but then again it may turn out to be a nightmare. 64 bit XP is known to be flaky you'd be better off with W7 in the long run.

FWIW, I'm not fully supported either.
In fact it is known that I suffer from gross neglect.

"32 and 64-bit.." Unfortunately there's a footnote to the O/S specs that says XP 64 bit is not supported. It's only Vista 64 that's supported.
CuBase, Ableton, Steinberg UR-22 MKII, i7-4790K 4.00 Ghz, 32Gb Corsair Vengeance Pro RAM, Windows 10.

Of the major problems with trying to use XP 64-bit for your DAW is that many device drivers are not written for this OS. Even though, if I remember correctly, Sonar was capable of running in XP 64, my audio card had no drivers for 64 bit. I dumped it and went back to 32 bit until I was ready to move on to Vista 64-bit. (I'm a troglodyte. I haven't upgraded my DAW to Windows 7 yet. I'm just a lazy idiot.)
