Dimension Pro - Multisamples not found (Win7 64)

I just installed Sonar 8.5.3 and Dimension Pro 1.5 on a new PC running 64-bit Windows 7.

For some reason, Dimension Pro cannot load any multisamples; it keeps saying they are not found.

I installed the Dimension Pro app to c:\Program Files\Cakewalk\Dimension Pro and the multisamples to f:\cakewalk\dimension-pro

Any idea how to get it to work???

Thanks!

Never mind; I found the solution, posted here: http://forum.cakewalk.com...34&mpage=1#1914395

Basically, it's to rescan the vst plugins.

    This worked for me!

The multisamples are inaccessible again.  Rescanning does not help.

However, if I run Sonar as administrator, I gain access to the multisamples again.  If I then save the project, and re-open as a normal user, I can use the multisamples I selected as the administrator, but as soon as I try to select another sound, I get the "file not found" error.

Aside from always running Sonar as the administrator, is there any other way to get multisamples working again?

I also notice that if I exit Sonar and run Dimension Pro directly from Windows, it works fine, even when I do not run as administrator.

So, it's only when Sonar invokes Dimension Pro, and I'm not running as administrator, that it fails to load multisamples.

    Ideas?

Okay, through trial and error, I finally have multisamples working again... for now, at least.

In my Sonar 8.5.3, there are two "Dimension Pro" soft synths available:

    1) Dimension Pro
    2) Dimension Pro (Dimension Pro x64)

The first one ("Dimension Oro") cannot load multisamples in non-adminstrator mode.  The second one ("Dimension Pro (Dimension Pro x64)") loads them correctly.

It is a simple thing to get in the habit of using the 64-bit Dimension Pro, but I have a couple of questions:

    1) Has anyone else noticed this problem?

    2) How can I hide "Dimension Pro" (the one that doesn't work) from the list of soft synths?
