Midi tracks ....no sounds ?

Can anyone help me to get my midi tracks to play sounds from the sonar / cakewalk synths or TTS-1. I have loaded in a midi track , it has about 9 parts, but i cant seem to get it play any of the synths?

Thanks,

    Thanks,

It's kind of a two part deal.

    1 -midi track

the output of which needs to be sent to a...

    2. softsynth

which then needs to be sent to the vs100.

If you do a quick search in the sonar forums you'll get a ton of instruction.

Hi, thanks for the help, I have sounds playing now from a soft synth rack, just seem to be struggling with drum sounds, I used the "drum kit" and its in the rack, settings "seem" to be the same as the other stuff but still no sound?

    Thanks,

I'm not entirely sure which softsynth you are using, and since I'm typing this from my laptop I'm not 100% sure about what I'm going to say.

How many instances of the softsynth do you have? Do you have one softsynth with more than one midi track? I would suggest playing around a bit with one midi track feeding one softsynth. Typically drums are on midi channel 10. So you'd want your softsynth set for channel 10.

I'll try to get in front of my machine in the near future to get a better look at it.

Hi, Yes I meant to say its the drum kit SI, I have had a play with settings, clearly something simple, as all the other soft synths work fine, strange thing is that when I have the Kit on the screen, still no sound< this has worked fine previously?
