Newbie @ Session Drummer 3

Hey out there!  I've been working with session drummer 3 and here's where I'm at.  After I've put down some amount of any given rhythm, I then double click midi and look for a fill - I then strech the fill for as long as I need - just like the verse (original rhythm).  So far, everything works, now. after adding a given amount of measures of verse, when I go to the midi and click, it adds a track - and places the clip in that new track.  So, I tried bouncing the clip up to the original and it worked - but I can't stretch it.  In the tracks' properties stretching is grayed out.  Can anyone please help????

    - but I can't stretch it.  In the tracks' properties stretching is grayed out. 

    Right click the clip and enable groove clipping
