'If I Could Turn Back Time' by Cher. Why? That bleeping Autotune effect. Seems like everyone and their relative is using it nowadays. Even TV commercials have it. Makes me want to hurl big time.

Now, now, let's not hurl at inovation. Let's hurl instead at the bad examples of copieing that inovation. I didn't care for it myself but at least it was an attempt. The message got to a lot of people apparently.

The message DID get to a lot of people, unfortunately - to the point that it's overdone. The only ones who haven't used it and really could have made good use was Crosby, Stills and Nash at a British music festival this year. I want to say it was Glastonbury but not sure about that. Were they ever out of tune which was sad considering they used to have some of the best ahrmonies around.

tangent:  if Cher and her producers hadn't started it someone else would have.  it was inevitable with the advent of autotuning software.  I'm not necessarily defending Cher or her song, but making a point that if it wasn't her you'd be hating someone else and their song.
