Sonar X1 WOW!

I have been using Cubase and Sonar for years and they are both amazing DAWs but I have to give Cakewalk props on Sonar X1 in a really big way! One asset Cake has is they really listen to the paying customers and do a great job anticipating needs!
Excellent work on Sonar X1!!!!
Regards,
James

Yep, it's definitely a nice new version. I think pretty much everyone will enjoy the improved workflow.

Dig the new look and workflow improvements (seems like they took a page outta the Presonus book for this - good move), but so disappointed in lack of composer / MIDI workflow improvements.  Maybe X2 ...

Sheesh, always at least one complainer, right?

I was considering switching over to Reaper (rated as people's favorite DAW on some sites) simply because the layout and workflow of SONAR 8.5 was so unappealing and busy, like an airplane cockpit. But X1 may just have hooked me to stick with good ol' Cakewalk...

I don't know. I think the smart tool is a pretty big midi workflow improvement in itself.

I was gonna say, the smart tool looks promising. Also, in midi work, I have my tools shortcut key bound already and I wiz through midi work.

But yeah, the smart tool will be fun to test out.
