Thee are no set settings for optimal performance. you need to try out and use what ever works best for you.

32secs latency is a bit high, but if yo dont use input echo for recording, the it doesnt matter.

I like to have my latency as low as possible, because sonar will respond faster to the tweaks that I make to the effects.

What buffer is 6?? If thats the buffer in Que, change it to 2 and keep it there and never mocve it

if you have a fast pc, which you don't list.. then you can get away with lowering the bufffers

    but I don't use 96k .. I use 44.1 at 24 bit.. errm 23 ms latency , but it's not a fast pc

also depends on LOADS of factors.. inc what and how hungry the VST-i's and FX you use are

Use 44100Hz sample rate, not 96000. That's a waste of resources. Using ASIO mode, you should be able to get 5.8msec latency.

This is the only setting that I do not understand what is it "buffer in que", because the value must be set to 2 ?
hight setting produces distortion; i don't use the WASAPI, is good but too slow.

    2 Tera WD Velociraptor

i turns everything to 44.1 with powr2 dithered until the end of work, my oscilloscope shows me a signal 'so good.

I did registration test , Wdm in Windows Seven have a much better sound quality that ASIO (to me), ASIO's are a bit faster than the WDM ( little)

after many test this is my personal opnion :

    Quality
    1° WASAPI
    2° WDM
    3° ASIO

    Speed
    1° ASIO
    2° WDM
    3° WASAPI

I'm looking a way to have the best quality recording,
    speed is not strictly important,
the aim is to record perfectly and the recording must be a perfect clone of sources.
