Select by real time in track view

I've been using Sonar for a long time and should know this . . . but:

Shift+F9 allows you to select by time in terms of meas.beats and so on.

What is the shortcut to select by real time (seconds and so on).

I'm doing a lot of work for a skaters and dancers. Most of the time they send me very specific cuts down to the second.

Of course, I manually type the now time and then set the from time to now and then to the same with thru . . . kind of tedious.

Of course, I could also just get a much better mouse!

In the time ruler display at the top over to the far right is a plus sign (+).  Click on that and you can bring up/add/change the format type.  You would likely want to add the H:M:S:F ruler.

Thanks for the reply. I do use that feature, but what I'm trying to change is the Shift-F9 behavior from measures to real time.

OK now I see what you are asking.  What may work for you is to activate the POSITION toolbar (VIEW - TOOLBARS - 5)
I have never used it but you can drag it down to your works space and select either by time or MBT with a start/end point.

I think there's also a Global Option to display all times as HH:MM:SS (Smpte Time).

Yes that does it.  The Shift - F9 then displays time.  (OPTIONS - GLOBAL -GENERAL - 4th box)

    Thanks all!

Re: position bar: I do also use that already as part of my work-around.

The global change is what I needed, though . . . thanks!  (to change the Shift-F9 behavior)

It would be nice to have both available without having to change a global setting.

Also, see my other post . . . this is unrelated, but part of my workflow for the projects I happen to be working on currently . . . .  I would love a free-hand draw tool that would allow you to actually draw on the wavform display, so you could make lines and arrows and notes for future edits right on the wave image.
