How to repeat without stretching, problems with tempo feature.

I could really use some help on this.  I'm trying to repeat loops without the program altering the tempo of the clip.  When I go to the Loop Construction view and click off the stretching button, it disables the looping feature.  It's causing some bad distortion in my clips.  Is there really no repeat a-b feature?  Also, I can't figure out how to change the tempo without it altering clips I've imported and don't want to change the speed of.  Can the tempo bar be disabled?  Thanks in advance.

I've never done it with audio clips, but I think if you search "Groove Clips" in the Help file, that will be what you want.
