Anybody using MOTU 828 mk3 ?

Hey I just bought the MOTU 828 mk3 and I have a couple of questions - hopefully someone can help me out ? I contacted their customer support hmmm 3 weeks ago but nothing back so...
At the moment I'm using the analogue 1 + 2 as my main outputs ( I don't have the leads for the mains yet) I'd like to bounce down a mix using the limiter on the cuefx. I can hear the limiter been applied to the mix when I play it,but when I bounce it down its like its been bypassed somehow ? Anyway for sure theres no limiting been applied to the mixdown at the moment. What am I doing wrong ?!!!!
Please help :(

The limiting only applies to the input or output.  It will not work on bouncing which is completely internal to the DAW unless external effects sends are created.  Your best bet would be to loop back an output to an input.

Thanks for getting back to me - I'm finding this soundcard very difficult to use !!!! I don't know what you mean by 'unless external effects sends are created' Do you mean outboard gear ? I have thought about looping back the output to the inputs - yes this is a definate solution.  I don't understand the point in having these all these perks if you can't use them lol - there is defo no other solution than to work like this ?? I guess the end result is the same huh, just maybe have to be abit more certain as to when the final mix should be tracked - could even be a positive thing if it will bring better results ?

Exactly, I mean outboard gear.  You can use these effects for tracking and playback, but not mixing unless you loop back.  I guess you could do this digitally via SPDIF so you skip the conversion process.

A couple interfaces like the EMU's and Steinberg MR816 allow you to use the effects as a plugin (only in Cubase for the Steinberg).  These are really meant for live or headphone effects for zero latency tracking.
