Live From Daryl's House - Fun jamming web site to watch - Highly Recommend

This is a fun web site - Daryl Hall put up jam sessions with various Artist jaming at his home near WoodStock. Theres 30 some odd artsit and episodes to watch. Fun to watch... Mingle...eating food .... jamming -- showing off his home - all laid back - my favorite so far with Smokey Robinson

Wow! What a fantastic site! I watched a few numbers from the Monte Montgomery Jam. These sessions deserve to be cable events. I would buy a DVD of that particular session in a heart beat.

I agree. I am glad Daryl is doing things like this. Also, he seems not to have an ego, laid back, relax, just jammin out with other artist. It's a very cool web site. Kind of gave me a new found respect for him.

I love, Live Form  Daryl's House. I really like the Nick Lowe, "Cruel To Be Kind". What a house and space to jam.

FYI, Live From Daryl's House is on TV. In L.A., it will be on KTLA with a new show at 11:00-11:30pm. A rerun from last week airs from 11:30pm to 12am. I don't know if this is a permanent time for the show. Last week's episode seemed like it was on earlier.

I think the webcasting he has been doing and the concept of creating in house "live" content is brilliant.

    Thanks Mooch.

Been awhile since I watched and really enjoyed the Jose Feliciano show this morning.
Drummer Boy is probably one of the best versions I've ever heard and first time I've
    heard Jose perform it.
Man they have the sound and the guitars...beautiful.
Very cool story Daryl tells at the dinner table.

I just started watching the Smokey Robinson episode (#22) and couldn't help but chuckle when this nice stretch limo pulls up driving over a dirt road...

I'm thinking I need to save this link and walk away or else I'm going to be watching these all day!  Good stuff and exactly what I'd like to make a house into someday (though the quality of musicians might be a tad on the lower side compared to Daryl's company).

I was surprised to catch this on the local NPR station last night, which aired the Smokey Robinson episode. I am very encouraged that this might gain some mainstream acceptance.

My sincere hope is that the increasing difficulty in making money from recorded music results in renewed interest in live, unadorned music and a return to a more "real" musical aesthetic. As long as I don't have to listen to "Your Kiss is On My Lips" I think it's a very good thing.

All else is in doubt, so this is the truth I cling to.

I meant to say thank you for posting the link to this. I've been watching every one of these episodes a little at a time and have really enjoyed all of them. The more recent ones in that big room...wow...where the heck is the guy mixing that stuff?! There has to be a console and a live guy somewhere...what incredible live sound...whew...there's a room he should charge to record people in. Proof that someone knows what they are doing without the need for sample replacement and other industry goodies. Great band members too...those guys are like machines...they never mess up. Totally love this stuff...thanks again.
