PLEASE HELP ME CAKE WALK PROJECT 5

I wanna do karoake but i can not hear my voice though speakers when I sing through the mic but if I record my voice and play it back I can hear what I sung so if anyone could give me a step by step way to fix this problem I would very much appreciate it I'll be honest I'm new to this and not very smart so I need someone with patience I do catch on really fast so please help thank you
