Guitar Rig Activation Woes

It seems a rough start here for X1 and it's accompanying bag of toys

Guitar Rig activation says
"An Error Occured while downloading the service center update.  If the problem persist delete the service center program folder and instal the latest one from Native Instruments ErrorCode3 - Server Communication Error

Anyone else suffering from this problem?  I followed the instructions and continue to get this error anyhow.

It is an fault in the "old" service center and not related to Cakewalk as far as I can see.

Go to the website of Native Instrumements and download the latest version of the Serevice Center. This download is a installer that you can doubleclick. After the install the Service Center should work and you can registrate/activate Guitar Rig.

    Thanks JClosed,
As posted above I followed the instructions it gave to no avail.  I realize it is a Native Instruments Product but seeing how there was potentially a bunch of other Cakewalkers also installing the same software at the same time as me I figured I would post and see anyone knew of a fix or if anyone else was even suffering from the same dilemma.
Much like my high school prom, maybe I am alone in this situation

Well - I encountered the same problem. The Service Centre just kept updating in a endless cycle, but I did not had Sonar 8.5 (yet) installed on that system. That is the reason I could safely say this was no Cakewalk problem. After a few times "cycling" I had enough and downloaded and installed the latest version "by hand"
