Got my new monitors today!

I know few on this forum will give a rats buttock right now, but I finally got my Yamaha HS80s with the HS10W Sub intalled. All I can say is WOW. I'd have paid ALOT more for these and still have been very happy.

    Cool.  I like yamaha montiors - I've been using the same system at home for 30 years.  The big brother of the NS-10s.

    Ya, I think there's a new Sonar version out.... X - something or other...heh
     
    I sticking with 8.5. If it ain't broke.....
     
    Anyway, nice system. I've had the HS80M's for about a year now. I like 'em!
     
    I think the one thing to watch out for on those is the on/off switches on the back. I've heard that they can crap out. I always switch mine on with a gentle push. The one time I gave one a whack, the monitor didn't power up. Thought maybe the amp was toast, but I tried the switch again - slowly, a couple of times - and it worked. Only happened once in a year, and I switch them on & off everyday, but something to be aware of.
