Installers

I can only imagine that creating installers is about as exciting as receiving socks and underwear for Christmas.
 
I want to applaud you for allowing Beatscape to be a separate download and install.  Saved me a lot of time there.  I don't want it so I didn't download it.
 
Same thing for Dimension Pro.  I've already got it, it's working.  I don't have any problems so I didn't down load it.
 
Same for additional content.
 
I should have been paying closer attention but it was way past my bedtime when I started installing the first two download files and could have very well passed the option in the Custom Install to not include certain softsynths and content. 
 
The biggest amount of time was decompressing and installing a lot of pattern content, loops, perfect space impulses etc.   Could I have bypassed that content if 8.5.3 has already installed it?  Wouldn't it have been better to split the 2nd download file (which I assum contains the "content" files ) into two files so that you could chose not to download extra files you may not need or want? 
 
What I would have liked to do is to download one file that would install all the new features so that I could play around with the interface quickly.  Just the essentials.  Then maybe come back a day later and download other content if it needed to be added to my system.
 
I'd like to cast my vote for future versions to use the Beatscape approach that allows me to NOT add a feature that I will likely never use.  Hopefully the menus would be clean of it's prescence also to keep down clutter.
