Strip EQ in Sonar cutting resolution?

I find on my system, I hear a definate lack of clarity when using the channel strip EQ in Sonar...even with all the knobs set to 0, but active. The Sonitus EQ is pretty transparent, and low CPU...so it's been a life saver. I find myself going back to old tunes and turning all the EQ's off now.

Anybody else hearing this?

I'm stuck in the past, but my foot's tapping forward

Since at least version 8 (if not earlier) the channel strip eq is the Sonitus eq

I seem to remember the Sonitus being there since 6PE

I can't say I hear what Ron is hearing though, lack of clarity?

Can you confirm it's the Sonitus Ron?

I don't use the strip eq but it's easy enough to test.

Load the same file in to two tracks, turn the eq on one of them and flip the phase. If they cancel it's not doing anything if they don't then we have grounds to do further investigation. Child

I tested this last night and couldn't decern what the OP is suggesting. I got full cancelation using the channel strip eq, or the 'normal' sonitus eq inserted in to the FX bin. Child
