Drag n' drop - having to drag twice

I'm in the very earliest stages of getting an idea of how X1 works - in the "poking at it" stage.

In using the browser to drag in audio loops, to see how that will go, I always have to do the drag twice.  On the first drag, I see the progress bar showing that the loop is being conformed - but it doesn't show up in the track, in fact the Xd out red circle is what I got when dragging the file.  But then I drag the same file again, the conversion thing happens again, but this time the file appears in the track.

Is this what's happening for other folks?

Not sure what's happening there, but just as an added tip... instead of dragging, you can also just double-click the file and it will be added to the current active track - at the Now Time position in that track.

This happens with REX files as it has to scan them to gather tempo/ loop information. Try clicking it once and then drag it after the wrapping has finished.

Yes it was a folder of Loopmaster REX files I was using to audition the drag n' drop.  Double clicking results in the same behavior - having to do it twice.

Seth, clicking it once and then dragging works, that's tidier - But it's definitely doing the "extracting REX file" and "Sample rate conversion" routine twice, once for the first click, and second for the drag.

    Thanks Seth.
This also occurs with .wav files too (X-mix Vol. 1 for example)
    Works like you said though.

One moment to be patient is still better than impatiently wondering why. lol
Still a much smoother audition feature than 8.5 though.

Thanks for all the support and a fine release.

Roger that, RockDr.Evil - All audio, .wav files included, won't go to a track on one try.  Seth's method works - click once, then after it's been converted, either drag or double click.  It gets processed all over again though, and I'm sure this wasn't intended.  None of this takes a long time, but it doesn't work as in the demo video.  You have to click a total of three times, or click once, wait, then drag.  Since it's one of the features pointed to a lot in the publicity, and doesn't work as shown in previews, this will need to be high on the fix list.
