Pentagon Synth fails to Load in X1 Producer
Where is the Pentagon I? I tried to load in in Sonar X1 Producer 64. It fails when I try to load it. Is this going to be fixed in the next update? Let me know if you are having the same problem. I don't want to use 32 bit because the 64 bit is so much better. I know I don't have dream station and I don't care about that one.

Based on your signature line you had 8.5.3. Did you download your install or get the disks? Also, if you downloaded did you need to extract disk 2 and load it? Did you load the extras disk? I am trying to see why I am missing that one plugin. It is very odd. I will try to uninstall and reinstall to see if this works. If not I am going to need some help from cakewalk.

I reinstalled X1 again. Except this time I did advanced and selected the products that I wanted. However Pentagon I was already checked. So, I am not sure why it didn't work on the initial installation. However, I would say just reinstall. Oh, and when I uninstalled it asked if I wanted to remove the shared items. I selected no. I alway do this because sometimes when you remove this information it brings in a whole new can of worms. Anyway, it works now and I am very happy with the upgrade. I love the smart tools and all. Howver, I would like it to work with my wacom pad. That would be really great. Just a suggestion if the Sonar People happen to read this.

I too can't load Pentagon I. doriginal, what exactly did you do to get it to work? Total reinstall? If I click on online info button from the error dialog, I get the following information. The following plugins were missing from your project. Microsoft OLE DB Provider for ODBC Drivers[size=3 font="times new roman"] error '80004005'[size=3 font="times new roman"] [Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified /Owners/GetPlugin.asp, line 84

It only worked for a while not it is doing it again. Does not load. Ok, I got Sonar 8 with discs and all. I then upgraded to 8.5 with a download and all the stuff the patches and fixes after that. 8.5 was a dream. I gave up working in 32 to work in 64 which I like a lot better. Then I upgraded to X1 selected 8.5 upgrade and downloaded. Love everything that they done with the look and stuff but I need the synths that were there because I used them before. The pentagon was one thing that is missing now. Also, strange enough the tip of the day thing say my txt is missing.(I don't really care about it but it should be there. Are you missing that? I am back to square one. I hate to do a reinstall. I saw where they said to load just the pentagon but how do I do that? I guess I could search my 8.0 disk that I have and install from that. I don't know. I will try that and let you know if that worked.

Hello, I don't know if you have fixed your issue yet but here is a solution if you are running on Vista (might work for other OS). I had this problem too and found that if I run Sonar X1 as administrator (ie right click /run as) Pentagon works just fine. I have now marked Sonar to always run as Admin, this has solved lots of issues. Hope you managed to run it. Regards Jörgen

did pentagon VST come with sonar? I thought it only came with the DXi. DXi synths bomb on my computer. They glitch out, even when running sonar as admin. I'd love to get pentagon running again. It is AWESOME as a vocoder. Where'd you get the VST from? Cheers!

you can right click your shortcut and go to properties -> shortcut -> advanced -> run as administrator. So you can just run it like normal from now on and it'll be admin.

you have to install it as an administrator and then run sonar as an administrator to get it to load up on my system
