sound forge in utilities menue

Does anyone know if the blank tools menu entry reg edit that we used in Sonar 8 will work with X1 to get Sound Forge on the utlities menu list?

I put Sound Forge in my 8.5 menu and it automatically shows up in my X1

I did a clean install of X1 on a new drive.
I'll give the reg edit a try.

Same here - it got transfered from 8.5 during the install

Interesting- there is no TOOLS menu in X1 but a UTILITIES Menu where all the old tool menu stuff shows up. I did a complete scan of my reg file and show no Utilities menu for X1

    Let us know what hapens

The Tools menu in SONAR was renamed to Utilities. However, it is still listed as Tools in the Windows Registry. Check out this article for more info...

My X1 also picked up my Sound Forge 9.0 from S8.5.3.

I updated my MOBO when I got X1, and installed X1 first so no Sound Forge on the menu for me.

However, Scott's technique above worked perfectly for me.

Thanks, Scott and Happy New Year to everyone,

    John
