Full screen view
I can't find anything about this in the manual but is there a way to get a proper full screen view? - ie not just maximised but no ribbon on top either

Right click - Hide Control Bar or uncheck it in View Menu.
In order, then, to discover the limit of deepest tones, it is necessary not only to produce very violent agitations in the air but to give these the form of simple pendular vibrations. - Hermann von Helmholtz, predicting the role of the electric bassist in 1877.

Or just hit C to hide/unhide the control bar. Ron

I don't want to get rid of the control bar - I want a full screen view (i.e. no ribbon on top)

Muse, You're saying that you don't want the Menu Bar with File, Edit, etc.? Or you want the Control Bar integrated differently somehow?

Yeah, I've thought that would be a good idea for ages. Aside from the additional space, I find full screen views are really good for getting "in the zone"; your attention can seem more fully focussed somehow.

Seth Perlstein [Cakewalk ] Muse, You're saying that you don't want the Menu Bar with File, Edit, etc.? Or you want the Control Bar integrated differently somehow? Not to speak for Muse, but if he's thinking what I'm thinking, I assume he means like most browsers do. So you lose the standard title bar and the Windows taskbar while you're in full-screen mode. Photoshop has this, if you're looking for a more work-app example.

Oh, you mean the Windows wrapping? That's a pretty good idea, actually. SONAR doesn't do this at the moment but I'll bring it up for a future release. Having said that, you can tweak the thickness of the Windows tile bar to make it as thin as possible, and of course you can auto-hide the Windows Taskbar.

Yeah. It's just nice to be able to have Windows generally set up as normal windows, but once you're doing a focussed chunk of work in one app, just switch that app into "use the whole screen and get rid of all the distractions" mode. I use NI Traktor when DJing, and I find it just does something for your frame of mind to run it in that mode.

Just like what happens when you press F11 in Firefox

Has this been added in recent updates? I've lost track (haven't bothered with them yet)

Benstat's Helper app can do it, but it's still not in the official release.

Get Sonar Plus. It is an app that does exactly what you want, and a whole bunch of other cool stuff too. http://sonarplus.co.uk
Sonar X2 Producer. Focusrite Saffire 6, Fender Strat, black PC for recording and mixing. That is all.
