after hours of working with no crashes... SONAR X1b hangs with Melodyne. No crash message... was it SONAR or was it Melodyne Editor? BUG: Select SHOW "audio transient" from track view-filter activate "AUDIO SNAP" on all audio clips on same track. It should only activate the higlighted selected clip...

Haven't put in the X1a and X1b, but so far. 1. It crashes 50% when i load projects from Sonar 7 2. Crashes seem to come from the "Teleport Service" 3. When i delete a certain VST that i think is unsupported by X1 (AcmeBarGig Shred), it hangs 4. The audio dies when used with AcmeBarGig shred 5. Toontrack Superior Drummer doesn't load. (On standalone mode, it does with no problem)

There is another bug that is quite annoying. Any time you do an automation write, the track becomes un-editable. The envelope takes over the track and there is no way to select or move the track. I might just go back to Sonar 6 Studio like I had before until all of the bugs are fixed.

Did you tell us which version of Sonar X1 you are using (e.g. 64 bit X1C)? Did you report this to Cakewalk with full steps to reproduce so it may be fixed? (bugs don't fix themselves). Support here who could help: http://www.cakewalk.com/support/ Sonar bug reporting: http://www.cakewalk.com/support/contact/problemreport.aspx Cheers....

Giannis Can anyone get Audiosnap to work properly? I certainly can't get it to quantize any audio. Audiosnap works okay here. I just quantized a guitar track the other day..

In X1 when you are finished with your automation set the Edit Filter to clips then you can move the tracks around all you want. However, why on earth would you if you just did automation? There is no bug here its user error.

However, why on earth would you if you just did automation? One instance I can think of is creating a flatline MIDI CC envelope to set some parameter to a fixed value and keep it there. I have some templates with pre-configured MIDI tracks that do exactly this before anything is even recorded. But to answer langleyjoel's question: Shift-click the clip to change the Edit Filter back to Clips after writing/editing an envelope, and read the pertinent section of the Reference Guide as Jonesey suggested. I predict this thread is going to get ugly when everyone starts responding to older posts in it, so... ANCIENT THREAD ALERT! Do not pay attention to anything before post #34

I agree Brundlefly. If these forums were monitored correctly they would freeze this thread as out of date/done.
