This is how the engine should run

Just trawling through youtube, came across this great example of how important bass and drums are when it's done right.

It's just a 1, 4, 5 and there's no acrobatics, it's just solid. It's Ed Greene and Bob Marinelli playing part of the drums/bass from Led Zep's 'The Lemon Song'. Simple but incredible - wish I'd taken up bass instead!

    Bass player had a great sound (and played very well). All that from that small amp. Drummer is spot-on except didn't have Bonham's squeaky floor pedal.
     
    Wish I had these guys in the neighborhood when I was band playing.

    Broken pencils are pointless.
