Sonar X1 release in UK

I've posted this in the 'get started' forum because I would dearly love to know when I can. I have been informed by my retailer that the program is not due for release until the end of December possibly January. Is he having a laugh or am I missing something, when everybody is talking about it I cannot even see it.

Just when you thought you had grasped it......it slipped away quietly into the night.

Last day of 2010, I just loaded up Sonar X1 went smooth as clockwork, Registered, tested my set up for me then asked if I wanted to read the Read me file and start prog. I said yes to the read me but thought I'd go for the program later.
Well kiss my boots!!!(a politer way of saying .... it) If I click on the desktop icon or use the start menu, 'NOTHING' It won't run. I looked up this problem but could only find it for other earlier versions. Can anybody help please. This is not a good start to a New Year.

Update. Had some useful help from these forums on this one. Turned out to be my Waldorf blofeld that was holding things up for some reason.
I've got it up and running but still not satisfied with that all my equipment will link up properly.
Question. I have MIDI OUT from my controller, an ancient Roland A30 to a Philip Reese THRO box i.e. 1 IN 10 OUT, from this I have the Waldorf Synth which only has a MIDI IN, a Yamaha TG100 tone generator which has IN & OUT but I'm only using the IN and I have the L&R line outputs from these feeding into an Alesis Multimix 6 which is connected to the PC by USB. NOW the heart of the question is do I need any other connection to the PC bearing in mind that if I use the USB connection of the blofeld SonarX1 will not open. I have only ever used Standard MIDI cables for connection before and am confused as to the set up with USB MIDI.
Any one help an old newbie here? Please.
