ALPHATRACK settings in X1

I made the switch to X1 from HS7 where my alphatrack worked flawlessly. I have read that it will work with X! but this is where I seem to crash (not the program, but me) I am asking for someones help in giving me a alphatrack / X1 for dummies setting checklist.

Just a few points.....
It is listed in the control surface list.
When I assign control surfaces I can list it in devices but the in port and out port settings will not remain set at alphatrack after in click "apply"
For some reason when I tap the fader or push play it triggers a drum sound from my EZdrums track.

Hope someone can throw me a life preserver on this one. Thanks guy's!     Ken

Do I assign the alphatrack to any track input or output settings?

I figured out the settings problem but it think the real problem is this.

In the plugin manager under control surfaces, if you click on one of the pre installed control surface names and look in the Filename box below it will have its file extension witch ends in .dll
When I click on Alphatrack in the list of control surfaces it has no filename associated with it. I know the file is in the Shared surfaces folder and I have it set to be opened by sonar X1 but it still is not coming up with a filename in the plug in manager.

And why is it that when I push a button or touch the fader on my alphatrack it triggers a drum sound. People have said it works with X1 but I'm all messed up.
